Designer Crutches

At Vilhelm Hertz, we are dedicated to designing and manufacturing crutches that not only meet functional needs but also add an element of style and elegance to everyday life. Our crutches are created with a deep understanding that using a mobility aid is not just a practical necessity but also an opportunity for personal expression.

Our crutches combine high quality, durability, and aesthetic design. They are made from carefully selected materials, such as hand-turned oak wood and carbon fiber, ensuring both strength and lightness. This makes our crutches both sturdy and easy to handle, which is essential for providing users with the best possible support and comfort.

Ergonomic crutches

At Vilhelm Hertz, our crutches are developed in close collaboration with physiotherapists to create the most functional and ergonomic crutches on the market. We have drawn inspiration from the natural movements of animals to design a flexible crutch that supports a more natural and comfortable walking style.

Our handles are uniquely designed to stand out from conventional crutches. Instead of the traditional hand-shaped design, we have created a handle that allows for changes in hand positions. This innovative approach helps to minimize strain on the arms and shoulders, enhancing user comfort and reducing fatigue during use.

We base our design philosophy on the physiological principle: "The next position is the best position." This approach ensures that every user of a Vilhelm Hertz crutch not only experiences improved mobility but also a more ergonomic and healthy usage experience that adapts to the individual's natural movement patterns. Our mission is to offer crutches that not only assist people in moving but also support their overall well-being and quality of life.

Made in Denmark

At Vilhelm Hertz, each of our crutches and walking sticks is a masterpiece of craftsmanship, created in Denmark in close collaboration with Peter Bottos, the renowned mentor from the DR program 'Denmark's Next Design Classic'.

We place a great emphasis on the quality and aesthetics of our products, reflected in our meticulous selection of wood. The majority of our woodwork is directly imported from Germany, where we carefully choose the most exquisite and visually appealing wood. This dedication to quality and design ensures that each crutch and walking stick is not just a mobility aid, but a true piece of craftsmanship, combining functionality with sophisticated design.
